Toronto, January 30 -- Inter-Citic Mineral Technologies Inc. (TSX Venture: ICI): today announced the appointment of Mr. David G. Wahl, P.Eng and P.Geo as the Company's Vice President of Mineral Project Development.

James J. Moore, President and CEO, said Inter-Citic is extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Wahl. He noted that Mr. Wahl's more than 30 years experience in mineral exploration and development will have significant relevance to Inter-Citic's ongoing mineral property pursuits in the People's Republic of China.

Inter-Citic has been evaluating a number of highly prospective properties in China. The properties are being evaluated for both base and precious metals. Over the last several months, the company has been actively evaluating a number of projects located in Western China. Inter-Citic has long maintained an interest in investment in the China mining industry and has taken steps to further its involvement as a result of some of the more favorable foreign investment policies which have developed in the past year.

Mr. Wahl has authored or co-authored more than 300 geological and mining reports for the Canadian and international mining industry and has been instrumental in raising large amounts for mining projects. As an integral part of this work, he has managed and directed many resource development programs. In addition, for the purpose of Canadian securities law compliance, Mr. Wahl is a qualified person as that term is defined in the Ontario Securities Act and other relevant Canadian securities legislation.
